Mix older and newer references
Ask different family members to contribute films, music, or places they know. Include some food, animal, or geography questions that don’t depend on growing up in a particular decade.
Pick topics with something to talk about
These topics give people room to contribute different questions:
- Food: ingredients, recipes, or something you cook together.
- Places: towns you’ve lived in and trips you’ve taken.
- Films: characters from both older favorites and recent releases.
- Family photos: where a photo was taken, with permission from the people in it.
Use short questions and clear options
Multiple choice lets someone recognize an answer without spelling an unfamiliar name. Keep the wording short and offer to read the question aloud.
If you use an image, check that everyone can see it and add a description. Agree on how much time people need before starting.
Let people ask for a break
The host can pause the game if someone needs more time or help with their browser. For younger players, have an adult nearby to help with joining and answering.
