Prepare across time zones

Send everything together so nobody has to search an old message thread at the start.

  1. State the local time clearly

Include the date and time zone, especially if the call crosses midnight for someone.

  2. Ask for a small contribution

One new-interest question and one shared-memory question are enough for a short first game.

  3. Test the small-screen path

A friend with one phone may need to switch between apps. Try one practice question before scoring begins.

Bring your current lives into the game

Avoid making every prompt depend on an old group holiday.

Which hobby did I try for the first time this month?
Use an answer you are happy to share and add plausible choices.
Which place from our old neighbourhood appears in this photo?
Confirm the place and explain the memory after the reveal.
Which time should we try for our next call?
Use an unscored poll and confirm the final plan in your usual group chat.

Leave room to catch up

Playloop keeps contributions concealed during preparation, so the organiser can take part in the guessing. Keep the call open and pause for stories between questions.

If a connection drops, pause before advancing while the friend tries to return using the same browser. Do not make speed the point of the evening. Finish with a clear plan for the next catch-up rather than stretching the game past someone’s bedtime.

Bring a question. Or just yourself.

Start a game and invite your group to add their questions.
