Move from invitation to a shared game

Keep logistics public and answers private.

  1. Agree the brief

Set the topic mix, contribution count, deadline and whether personal memories are optional.

  2. Contribute separately

Each player saves their questions in Playloop. Other players’ contributions stay concealed during preparation, including from the host.

  3. Check readiness

Ask contributors to verify their own facts and wording. The organiser coordinates readiness without needing to collect every answer in a chat.

  4. Play together

The host starts and manages the game while also participating. Confirm the own-question scoring rule first.

A contribution brief you can adapt

Put these instructions alongside the game invitation.

  • Bring one broadly accessible fact and one question from a subject you enjoy.
  • Ask one clear thing and provide a checked correct answer.
  • Use believable alternatives if the question is multiple choice.
  • Keep the answer out of the group chat and explain the story after the reveal.

Plan for the advantage of authorship

Authors know their own answers. Playloop exposes an own-question scoring setting so the host can decide how that should count. Tell the group the rule before they invest effort in writing.

Keep contribution counts balanced when that suits your group, or use optional contributions if some people would rather just play. Check the settings and question budget together: a larger invitation list does not automatically create room for unlimited questions.

Bring a question. Or just yourself.

Start a game and invite your group to add their questions.
