Help everyone join
Assume someone in each household will need a hand.
Send one message with both links
Put the call link and the game link in the same message, with a sentence on which one opens where.
Name a helper per home
Ask one confident person in each household to get the others joined.
Do a test call
With the least confident player, open the game link on their phone and answer a practice question together.
Questions that travel well over a call
Video calls compress pictures and delay sound, so keep the material simple.
- Short text questions with clear choices.
- Family photos with large faces, checked on a phone screen.
- Questions about each household, such as “Which home has the newest pet?”
- No clues that depend on music or sound through the call.
On the night
Start the call ten minutes early for greetings, then begin the quiz with an easy practice question so everyone sees how answering works. Young children can answer with an adult beside them or share a household phone.
Playloop shows the question on each player’s phone, so nobody depends on a shaky screen share to read it. Use the call for the reveals and stories, and pause when a relative needs help.
