Three setups and who they suit

All three use your usual video call for conversation and Playloop in the browser for questions and scores.

1. Call on one device, answers on another
Best for most groups. Players keep faces visible on a laptop or tablet and answer on a phone. Needs two devices per home.
2. Host shares the display in the call
Best when people have one device each. The host screen-shares Playloop’s display so everyone sees the question large, and players answer in a second browser tab or on a phone.
3. A room plus remote guests
Best for a family or office where some people gather together. The room watches the display on a TV; remote players see it through the call and answer on their own devices.

Choose by asking three questions

Ask these in the invitation, not on the night.

  • Does everyone have a phone as well as a computer or tablet?
  • Is anyone joining from a slow connection that struggles with screen sharing?
  • Will several people share one screen in the same room?

Why answers belong on each player’s own device

Saying answers aloud on a call lets the fastest speaker set the pace and makes it hard to keep a fair score. Answering in the browser keeps each answer private until the reveal, then the score updates for everyone at once.

Playloop runs in the browser with no app to install, so the same join link works on phones, tablets and laptops. Keep pictures and choices short, as some guests will be reading them on a small screen next to a call.

Bring a question. Or just yourself.
