Check the host and player paths

Hosting and joining are different actions.

  1. Host the game

The organiser signs in and creates or prepares a game in the host app. Check the chosen settings and player allowance.

  2. Invite players

Share the invitation or joining code through your usual channel. Guests can join with a code and a name.

  3. Keep the same browser

Guests should return in the browser they used to join, or link an email in the game. A different browser may not retain their access.

  4. Try one question

Check the prompt, options and submission controls before starting a longer session.

Make a quick device check

Use the setup people already have where it works.

  • Check the internet connection where the game will happen.
  • Ensure text and options remain readable when the browser is zoomed.
  • Keep the invitation available outside a disappearing notification.
  • Arrange a separate call if players are in different places.

A shared screen is optional

Players answer in their browsers. A TV or laptop display can give an in-person group a common place to look, but it does not replace their answer controls.

For a first game, keep the question set small and give guests a moment to understand the flow. If someone cannot use the setup comfortably, agree an alternative way for them to enjoy the questions before the game begins rather than rushing them through joining.

Bring a question. Or just yourself.

Start a game and invite your group to add their questions.
