Prepare the game before sharing it

A few checks make the joining process smoother.

  1. Check the allowance

Match the intended number of players and questions to the game you are creating. The host is a player when they join the competition.

  2. Choose contributions

Tell players whether questions are required, optional or not needed for this game.

  3. Share the invitation

Use your normal group chat or another channel the guests recognise. Ask them not to forward it beyond the intended group.

  4. Confirm the lobby

Check player names before starting and help anyone who joined through the wrong browser or link.

Understand what stays concealed

Do not treat several different behaviours as one privacy promise.

  • Other players’ contributed questions stay concealed during preparation.
  • Questions become part of the game when they are played.
  • An invitation link or code is intended to help people join, so handle it with care.
  • Only submit personal stories or pictures that the people involved are happy to share with the group.

Help guests keep access

Players can join with a game code and name. Guests should keep the same browser or link an email in the game if they need a more durable way back.

Test the joining flow before the event and keep the invitation easy to find. Concealed preparation helps preserve surprises; it should not be presented as a guarantee that game content can never be copied or shared by a participant. Choose questions that belong in this gathering.

Bring a question. Or just yourself.

Start a game and invite your group to add their questions.
