Four polls you can adapt
Choose options that fit the group and leave room for conversation afterward.
- What should our next game-night theme be?
- Offer subjects the group has mentioned, such as films, food, travel and mixed trivia.
- Which weekend activity would you pick?
- Offer realistic choices; discuss practical needs before treating the result as a final plan.
- Which fictional setting would you visit for a day?
- Use familiar settings and ask people to explain their choice after voting.
- What kind of question should come next?
- Try a picture clue, a place clue, a hobby question or a memory prompt.
Make the options equally inviting
The wording should not push players toward the host’s favourite.
- Keep choices similar in tone and length.
- Avoid pairing a flattering option with an insulting alternative.
- Do not ask people to rank other guests’ attractiveness, competence or popularity.
- Use a follow-up conversation when the available choices do not cover someone’s preference.
Give the poll a clear role in the game
Playloop supports unscored polls and shows the group’s responses after answering closes. Put a poll between two scored rounds or use it to finish with a shared decision.
Explain that the result is a conversation starter. Do not promise anonymity, secret ballots or a binding decision process. If the topic could be sensitive, choose a lighter question and let people pass rather than making disclosure part of the entertainment.
