Three Finding Nemo starters

These answers are checked against Pixar’s film page. Use one or two in a mixed round, or build a clearly labelled themed round.

What is Nemo’s father called?
Marlin.
Which reef is Nemo’s home at the start of Finding Nemo?
The Great Barrier Reef.
What kind of workplace contains the fish tank Nemo is taken to?
A dentist’s office.

Name the film precisely

A little context prevents a surprising number of disputes.

  • Include the release year when a title has remakes.
  • Specify whether the question concerns the film, book or television adaptation.
  • Avoid plot-ending clues unless the group agreed to spoilers.
  • Check a studio page, official credits or another direct source before relying on a memory.

Ask friends for a film they would recommend

In Playloop, each contributor can add a question from a favourite film. Ask them for an accessible clue and one sentence to explain the answer after the reveal.

Use your own plot descriptions instead of long copied dialogue. A text question often works without a clip, which simplifies remote play. Keep genre and decade variety in mind: an animation opener, a familiar adventure and a quieter character question can reach different people.
