Use the good parts of living together
Confirm the details and keep household conflicts outside the game.
- Which café did we stop at after our first neighbourhood walk?
- Use the actual café and choose other local places as alternatives.
- Which ingredient did we forget during our first attempt at this recipe?
- Ask the people involved whether they are happy to tell the story.
- Which film should we choose for the next evening in?
- Use a poll and keep preferences unscored.
Give everyone a comfortable route in
A small group can still have different interests and different levels of shared history.
- Include a new housemate with questions that contain context.
- Leave cleaning disputes, money and private habits out.
- Use hobby trivia when someone cannot think of a shared memory.
- Choose a finish time that respects work, study and sleep.
Keep the evening easy to repeat
Ask people to add questions to Playloop privately before sitting down. The host can play too, with the group’s chosen own-question scoring rule.
A small table works; a TV is optional. Read the first question together to check everyone can join and answer. If the format works, rotate who starts the next game and change the theme rather than asking one housemate to become the permanent quiz writer.
