One checked example and two kitchen prompts
Use the linked recipe for the first example and your own details for the others.
- Which canned legume is used in Esther Clark’s Good Food hummus recipe?
- Chickpeas. Name the recipe in the prompt rather than claiming every version has identical ingredients.
- Which kitchen tool is shown in this close-up?
- Choose a tool you can photograph and agree its name before play.
- Which ingredient did we add to our shared soup last weekend?
- Check the actual recipe or ask the cook; do not use a generic version as the answer.
Keep the round broader than one cuisine
A varied set gives players several ways to recognise an answer.
- Include ingredients, equipment, cooking methods and places.
- Avoid assuming that every guest drinks alcohol.
- Name a source before asking about a dish’s disputed origin.
- Use preferences such as favourite toppings as polls, not scored facts.
Let the answers lead to stories
Ask Playloop contributors to bring a question from a meal, recipe or food tradition they enjoy. Their saved contributions stay concealed during preparation, letting the organiser play too.
Keep explanations short and invite the author to tell the story after the reveal. A question should not require tasting something or disclosing a dietary restriction to participate. If the group wants to cook together next time, finish with an unscored poll about possible menus.
